CIVIL LITIGATION (especially claims for Personal
Injury Compensation)
Including "No Win - No Fee" Agreements
Civil Litigation covers a wide variety of civil work including personal
injury claims, unfair dismissal, debt recovery etc.
Such work does of course require specialist knowledge and ought to be
dealt with by practitioners fully experience in dealing with such work.
Peter Howard is our Civil Litigation Expert. He is a Fellow of the
Institute of Legal Executives and has in excess of 25 years experience
of dealing with such work. He has dealt with many high value and complex
claims, including group actions such as the claims against ICI by Weston
Village Residents. He is also a member of the Law Society Personal
Injury Panel and a Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
You may know that the Government has revised the Legal Aid system,
resulting in Legal Aid for Personal Injury Claims being abolished
(except for extreme exceptions).
However, at Byrne Frodsham & Co we do offer Clients the opportunity to
instruct us under a "Conditional Fee Agreement" - better known as a "No
win - No fee" arrangement. Such arrangements are of course becoming more
and more popular with the public.
Some Clients, understandably, are a little reluctant to consult
Solicitors particularly about civil litigation matters as they fear that
they will incur huge expense even at the initial stages.
At Byrne Frodsham & Co we are prepared to see Clients for a free 30
minute consultation to enable us to discuss the case and its merits
before committing you to giving us instructions.
Very often Clients do not pursue claims which ought to be pursued for
fear of incurring legal costs etc. and do not even get to the stage of
making initial enquiries. Under our initial free interview scheme we can
put Clients at ease without charge so as to enable Clients to make an
informed decision as to whether they would wish to proceed with the
matter.
Where Legal Aid is available, we are willing to act under Legal Aid.
Indeed we do hold a Legal Aid Franchise in respect of Personal Injury
work, (where now available following Government changes to Legal Aid).
We are also willing to see Clients at home if this is more convenient to
the Client.
Of course, success can never be guaranteed in any legal case but one
thing is for sure - if you are involved in a legal case or considering
bringing one, then the best person to consult would be a Lawyer. If you
have the peace of mind of knowing that you can have an initial free
interview, then you have nothing to lose by telephoning us and making an
appointment.
Should you wish to discuss any aspect of civil litigation please do not
hesitate to contact
Peter Howard.
